Baptist Health Urgent Care - Conway South

After nursing myself for a couple of weeks I finally realized I didn’t have the resources to get well on my own. Even though the computer system was down, the staff kicked into their paper process, got me checked in and in a room within approximately 30-minutes. Everyone was thorough, considerate, and professional. If ever necessary, I’d consider this facility again.

First and only time I will be using this clinic. Really puts a bad taste in my mouth for Baptist Health as a whole actually. Wasn’t able to be seen so I can’t speak on the medical services portion. But the African American girl at the front desk on Friday night should really be reconsidered for that position. As someone who has worked front desk for a medical clinic, supervisor of the front desk and now a nurse, I feel confident in my stance on this. Right from the moment I walked in, which was an hour and 15min before closing, she had an attitude and an annoyed look on her face. As if patients coming to use your services was an inconvenience for her. After a panicked mother came in because BHMC ER had them waiting for hours already, all of a sudden there was going to be an hour wait and no one that was in the waiting room was going to be able to be seen. Front desk states they are removing a toenail. First off that shouldn’t have been said. A procedure would have been better worded. Getting close to HIPAA territory. Honestly not sure if I even believe that. I’ve been there in the beginning where I didn’t care about patients and we would give excuses like that so people would go somewhere else to be seen. I offered the mom my best medical opinion on what she should do. I recommended that she not go to another baptist facility but to Conway Regional After Hours. That’s where I should have started but y’all were a little closer to my home so I thought why not try y’all out. I knew I had heard bad things in the past and most definitely when y’all were Sherwood urgent care. Always recommended patients avoid them. But it seems like maybe y’all just kept their old, bad staff. I see other reviewers with the same opinion about the front desk. The front desk is the face of the company, it’s who they see first and last. That’s where impressions come from. If someone wants to reach out to me I would love that. But most definitely not going to be recommending y’all to friends, family or my pediatric families I work for. Do better.
